UCLA Library: Police State?
UCLA campus cops tasered a student because he forgot his student ID at home. Yeah. Seriously. The video is on YouTube, but it’s exhausting to watch so don’t bother. Here’s the bullet:
Iranian student asked to show ID in library. Can’t find it, campus cops make him leave.
Campus cop grabs student’s arm. Student yells, “Get off of me.” Campus Cop tasers student.
Students in the library freak out and run up to see WTF. When one student asks for cops badge number he tells her to shut up or he’ll taser her.
BTW, that’s totally the wrong thing to say because asking for a badge number in no way would ever warrant being tasered. Peacefully leaving the library? Maybe…he was Iranian after all.
