A man who has spent thousands on body modifications has undergone a radical transformation by removing the tip of his nose and his nipples. Odin [goes by first name only] first began modifying his body at the age of 21 â stretching his septum to 17mm before turning to more extreme changes to his appearance. Over the past 11 years, the tattoo artist has spent ã6,300 ($8,000) on turning himself into a living piece of art with tattoos, implants and the removal of small body parts. Performing some of the procedures himself, he has tattooed his eyes and gums personally â before turning to a fellow artist to ink his face, head, ribs, chest, back and arms. And now, heâÂÂs ditched his nipples and part of his nose. âÂÂI have some ribbed genital implants, my nipples are removed and I've had branding scarification on my chest, wrist and face,â the 32-year-old, from California, told NeedToKnow.co.uk . âÂÂI also tattooed my own chest, my own eyes, my gums and I tattooed my face some too. âÂÂI think my body is a vessel for art and I think changing how IâÂÂm seen is part of that practice. âÂÂI started doing this mostly because of my appreciation for tribal history, culture and art. âÂÂMy mother was a museum curator when I was a child and I found what I have learned to be very influential in my philosophies, and in everything I do and see in this world. âÂÂI like seeing changes that might not be as visible â itâÂÂs kind of a constant reminder that we never step in the same river twice.â Odin had the tip of his nose âÂÂdisplacedâ as part of a septril piercing, costing only $80 (ã63) at the time. The procedure began as a normal piercing, stretching to 4mm before Odin underwent a biopsy punch to widen the hole. Increasing the piercing to 19mm in diameter, Odin shows off the inside of his nose to the world, with the cartilage visible. He said âÂÂMy septril piercing started out pretty small. âÂÂI have been stretching it bigger for the last eight years or so. âÂÂI have probably spent $700 to $1,000 (ã550 to ã790) on jewellery specifically for that piercing.â Due to his unique appearance, Odin experiences a lot of abuse by trolls, even receiving death threats online and offline. He said: âÂÂIâÂÂve had people harass me on the street. âÂÂPeople love hating anything different. âÂÂI donâÂÂt ever focus on it though, I just walk by any strangers acting like animals.â Although he says some family members disapprove of his appearance, Odin still feels supported by friends. He added: âÂÂMy family is not terribly fond of what IâÂÂve done to my appearance. âÂÂI still am invited to holiday dinners though and speak with my relatives regularly. âÂÂWe are on good terms despite disagreements. âÂÂMany of my friends usually seem a little proud to be friends with me, like IâÂÂm a one-of-a-kind person to know.â Odin has no plans to stop his journey, with the hopes of having his ears pointed and his naval removed as part of his growing transformation. Sharing his look on Instagram (@witch_doctors), he has gained over 3,000 followers. He recently shared the âÂÂnose jobâ to mixed reactions. One person commented: âÂÂI could imagine a piercing like this would lead to nasal sinus infections. With the internal structure exposed.â Another follower added âÂÂI didnâÂÂt know you could stretch that part of your nose !! woa.â [sic] âÂÂYour nose so beautiful,â said someone else. [sic] âÂÂYour septril is [fire emoji],â wrote another fan. [sic] Kean said: âÂÂI Can't Even Begin To Tell You How Much I Adore This!!â [sic] Another person said: âÂÂStopp im gunna pukke. Por onde passa, o homem conhecido como Odin chama atenção pela sua aparência peculiar. Aos 32 anos, o californiano já passou por várias modificações corporais extremas que, da última vez, acabou por fazer remover a ponta do nariz, deixando à mostra a cartilagem, ornamentando o furo com uma peça de 2 centímetros de diâmetro.

De acordo com o Daily Star, Odin já gastou mais de R$ 38 mil em mudanças e não deixa de pensar em mais modificações, que segundo ele o transforma em uma “obra de arte viva”.
